AI-enabled business laptop

The Dell Pro 16 Plus PB16250 is built for professionals who need on-device AI acceleration without a discrete GPU. Its Intel Core Ultra 5 236V processor integrates a 40 TOPS NPU alongside 8 cores reaching 4.7 GHz. Windows 11 Pro and optional McAfee Business Protection provide an enterprise-grade security baseline. The 16-inch non-touch display keeps the focus on productivity rather than tablet-style interaction.

Sustained workload behaviour

Onboard 16 GB LPDDR5X memory at 8533 MT/s feeds the NPU and CPU without the latency of removable modules. The 512 GB TLC SSD maintains consistent read and write speeds during long compile, render or data-analysis sessions. A 55 Wh battery supports mobile work, while ExpressCharge and the included 65 W USB-C adapter restore usable capacity quickly between meetings. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 keep network throughput stable in dense office environments.

Deciding specification

The 40 TOPS NPU is the single figure that determines whether this laptop matches an AI-first workflow. Buyers who need more than 16 GB of memory or a user-replaceable SSD should consider other configurations. The soldered LPDDR5X and fixed 512 GB capacity cannot be upgraded after purchase. If your workload demands discrete graphics or higher multi-core throughput, this model will not meet those requirements.

Questions about this item

How loud or hot does the Intel Core Ultra 5 236V run when the 40 TOPS NPU is loaded all day?

The processor has 8 cores up to 4.7 GHz and a 40 TOPS NPU; thermal output and fan noise under sustained AI workloads are managed by the chassis design and 55 Wh battery configuration.

What cables or peripherals must I already own to use the 65W USB-C AC adapter and Wi-Fi 7?

The box includes the 65W USB-C AC adapter and power cord; Wi-Fi 7 operates with any compatible router, and Bluetooth 5.4 works with existing peripherals.

Will the onboard 16 GB LPDDR5X at 8533 MT/s and 512 GB SSD work with my older USB-A dock and external monitor?

The laptop provides USB-C connectivity; compatibility with legacy USB-A docks or monitors depends on the dock's own adapters and the display's input options.
