16-inch WUXGA laptop for mobile professionals

The DELL Pro PC16250 pairs a 16.0-inch 1920 x 1200 non-touch TN panel with an Intel Core 5 120U 10-core processor, 32GB DDR5 memory and a 2TB solid-state drive. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed. The 4.3 lb chassis includes a backlit keyboard with numeric keypad and an HD webcam for video calls.

Sustained workload behaviour

The 10-core CPU runs at a 1.40GHz base frequency and can reach a 5.00GHz turbo frequency with 12MB smart cache. Integrated Intel Graphics share system memory, so extended rendering or multi-monitor output will draw from the 32GB DDR5 pool rather than dedicated video memory. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 maintain wireless links during long sessions.

Compatibility checks before ordering

Verify that your peripherals match the available ports: two USB 3.2 Type-A, two USB 3.2 Type-C (one with DisplayPort alternate mode), HDMI, Ethernet and a combo audio jack. The 14.09 x 9.91 x .82 inch footprint determines bag or sleeve fit. Buyers who need a touchscreen, discrete GPU or a panel technology other than TN should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How loud or hot does the 10-core Intel Core 5 120U get during all-day workloads?

The 10-core processor runs at a 1.40 GHz base with a 5.00 GHz turbo, and the chassis measures 14.09 x 9.91 x 0.82 inches, so thermals and fan noise will scale with sustained load.

Which cables or peripherals must I already own to use the two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, one USB 3.2 Type-C port, HDMI and Ethernet?

You need USB-A devices for the two Type-A ports, a USB-C cable or device for the Type-C port, an HDMI cable for external displays, and an Ethernet cable for wired networking.

Will the integrated Intel Graphics drive my older 1920 x 1200 monitor over HDMI without a discrete GPU?

Yes, the HDMI port connects to the integrated Intel Graphics and supports 1920 x 1200 resolution, so an older monitor at that resolution will work directly.
