Single-Port 16GbE Fibre Channel Adapter

The DELL QLE2660L is a single-port Fibre Channel host bus adapter built for Dell PowerEdge R830 and R730 servers. It delivers 16 Gbps connectivity over an optical LC interface for storage-area-network traffic.

Verify PCIe x8 Slot and Optical Cabling

Confirm the server has an available PCI Express x8 slot and that the storage fabric uses LC duplex fibre patch cords. The card is keyed for Dell-branded platforms and may not initialise in non-Dell chassis without vendor-specific firmware.

Replaces 8GbE Single-Port HBAs

This adapter doubles the link speed of legacy 8 Gbps single-port cards, reducing backup windows and latency for database workloads. The upgrade is justified when the storage array and ISL trunks already support 16 Gbps end-to-end.
