Dell R740 1U rack server

The Dell PowerEdge R740 is a 1U rack server equipped with two Intel Gold 6126 processors and 32GB of DDR4 memory. Six 1.92TB SAS SSDs are installed behind an H730P RAID controller. Remote management is handled by iDRAC9 Enterprise.

Suited for dense compute and storage tasks

This configuration suits workloads that benefit from twelve-core processors and high-speed SAS solid-state storage in a single rack unit. Buyers who need more than eight 2.5-inch drive bays or additional PCIe expansion beyond the available slots should consider other platforms.

Dual Gold 6126 twelve-core processors

The server ships with two Gold 6126 CPUs running at 2.6GHz, each providing twelve cores. This processor choice determines the thread count and base frequency available for virtualisation, database or calculation workloads.
