Connects SAS and Mini SAS Perc6i RAID controllers in PowerEdge R510 and R515 servers
This genuine Dell SAS to Mini SAS Perc6i RAID cable carries part number FHTP2 and is built for Dell PowerEdge R510 and R515 server systems. It connects the RAID controller to the drive backplane using the SAS interface. The cable is supplied new as an original Dell OEM component.
Install this cable when the existing SAS connection is damaged, lost during maintenance, or when rebuilding a PowerEdge R510 or R515 storage array. The jump is worth it only for those specific server models; it does not fit other chassis or controller types. Buyers needing a different connector pitch or a longer reach should look elsewhere.

The cable connects a standard SAS port on the PERC6i controller to the Mini SAS backplane connectors inside the PowerEdge R510 or R515 chassis.
Route the cable from the PERC6i RAID card to the drive backplane, then secure the retention clips; the step often missed is fully seating both Mini SAS ends until the latches click.
