Questions about this item

Does the ST3600057SS ship with a mounting tray or caddy for Dell PowerEdge servers?

The drive is supplied as the bare 3.5 inch SAS unit; a Dell-specific hot-plug tray or caddy must be purchased separately if your server bay requires one.

How do I decide between the 600 GB 15 000 RPM model and a lower-capacity alternative?

Choose the 600 GB 15 000 RPM version when you need maximum throughput and capacity for database or virtualisation workloads on supported PowerEdge servers.

What does the 6 Gb/s SAS link deliver in a real T320 or T410?

The 6 Gb/s SAS interface provides up to 600 MB/s theoretical bandwidth; actual sustained transfer rates depend on the 15 000 RPM mechanics and 16 MB cache in your specific RAID configuration.
