Dell 600 GB 15K SAS drive for Gen13 PowerEdge

This new Dell ST600MP0005 is a 600 GB internal hard drive spinning at 15000 RPM with a 12 Gb/s SAS interface in a 2.5 inch form factor. It ships with an R Series caddy for hot-swap bays. The drive is built for Dell PowerEdge Gen13 servers.

Fits listed Gen13 rack and tower servers

Compatible systems include the R330, R430, R530, R630, R730, R730xd, R930, T330, T430, T530 and T630. Buyers needing a different capacity, a non-SAS interface or a 3.5 inch form factor should look at other drives. This unit is not for laptops, desktops or non-Dell chassis.

12 Gb/s SAS interface decides fit

The single specification that determines whether this is the right part is the 12 Gb/s SAS interface. Your server backplane and controller must support 12 Gb/s SAS for the drive to operate at its rated speed. If the system uses an older SAS generation or a different protocol, this drive will not be compatible.
