Dell SAVVIO 300GB 10K SAS Drive

This new Dell SAVVIO 10K.3 internal hard drive delivers 300GB of storage in a 2.5-inch form factor. It spins at 10000RPM and connects via a SAS 6Gb/s interface with a 16MB buffer. The unit ships with a compatible caddy for direct installation into supported PowerEdge servers.

Suited for Dell PowerEdge Servers

This drive fits the listed PowerEdge models including M610, R620, R710, T610 and many others shown in the compatibility data. It is not suitable for systems lacking a SAS backplane or the correct 2.5-inch drive bay, nor for workloads requiring capacities beyond 300GB. Buyers needing different interfaces or larger volumes should consider other options.

SAS 6Gb/s Interface Decides Compatibility

The single specification that determines fit is the 2.5-inch SAS 6Gb/s interface. The server or controller must support this exact connection standard for the drive to function. Verify the host hardware provides a SAS port and the appropriate caddy space before purchase.
