Dell Studio LCD Back Cover Sea Sky

This replacement 15.4" LCD back cover lid assembly fits Dell Studio 1535 1536 1537 models. It arrives in Sea Sky colour with left and right hinges, wireless antenna cables, power button with cable, and WiFi catcher button circuit board pre-installed. The LCD bezel is not included so the existing bezel must be reused.

Check model number hinge layout before ordering

Confirm the laptop is a Studio 1535 1536 or 1537 and that the current lid uses the P596X part number. The assembly includes both hinges and antenna cables so the chassis hinge mounts and wireless cable routing must match this design. The power button board and WiFi catcher board are integrated so their connectors on the motherboard must be compatible.

Sustained use holds alignment without flex

The plastic shell and metal hinges maintain panel alignment during repeated open and close cycles. Integrated antenna cables stay seated in their channels preventing signal loss from cable fatigue. The power button and WiFi catcher board remain responsive because they are mounted directly to the rigid lid structure rather than a flexible bezel.

Questions about this item

Does the back cover include the LCD bezel or only the hinges and cables?

The Sea Sky back cover ships with left and right hinges, wireless antenna cables, the power button with its cable and the WiFi Catcher button and circuit board; the LCD bezel is not included and must be sourced separately.

Which Dell Studio models does the P596X Sea Sky cover fit?

Part P596X is compatible with the Studio 1535, Studio 1536 and Studio 1537, all of which use a 15.4 inch display.

Will the antenna cables and WiFi Catcher button on this cover work with my existing wireless card?

The antenna cables and WiFi Catcher button are the original Dell OEM parts for the Studio 1535, 1536 and 1537, so they connect directly to the wireless card and mainboard already in those models.
