Genuine Dell Studio 15.6" LCD Back Cover

This genuine Dell original 15.6" LCD back cover lid assembly includes hinges, wireless antenna cables, and a power button with cable in Red Horizon finish. It carries Dell part number NCVJ9 and fits Studio 1555, 1557, and 1558 laptops. The assembly restores the display housing to factory condition.

For owners replacing a damaged lid on listed

Buyers repairing a cracked or broken display housing on a Studio 1555, 1557, or 1558 will find the correct fit and colour match here. Anyone with a different Dell series, a different screen size, or a non-Dell laptop cannot use this part. Shoppers seeking only hinges or a bezel without the full lid should look elsewhere.

Direct replacement installs

The cover aligns with the original screw holes and hinge brackets on the compatible chassis, so no modification is required during fitting. Integrated antenna cables route through the factory channels and the power button cable connects to the mainboard header. Once secured, the lid opens and closes with the same tension as the original assembly.

Questions about this item

Will this lid assembly fit my Studio 1555 without needing a different hinge set?

Yes — the part includes left and right hinges matched to the 1555, 1557 and 1558 chassis, so no separate hinge kit is required.

Can I reuse the existing wireless antenna cables from my Studio 1557 with this cover?

The assembly already ships with its own antenna cables, so you simply route the new cables instead of reusing the old ones.

How do I confirm the power button on the new lid is connected correctly after installation?

Press the button; the laptop should power on or wake from sleep immediately, confirming the supplied cable is seated properly.
