Genuine Dell OEM 15.6" LCD back cover with hinges, antenna cables and power button in Sunburst for Studio 1555, 1557 and 1558
This genuine Dell OEM part replaces the 15.6 inch LCD back cover lid assembly on compatible Studio laptops. It arrives with left and right hinges, wireless antenna cables and the power button with cable already fitted. The Sunburst colour matches the original finish on supported models. Buyers who need a different colour or a shell without hinges will not be served by this assembly.
The cover fits Dell Studio 1555, Studio 1557 and Studio 1558 notebooks using Dell part number P612N. All mounting points align with the factory chassis so no modification is required during installation. Owners of other Studio series or Inspiron models cannot use this part. The package contains only the lid assembly shown in the product images.
Pre-installed hinges, antenna cables and power button cable eliminate the need to transfer delicate components from a damaged lid. This reduces repair time and avoids the risk of damaging flex cables during disassembly. Technicians who prefer to reuse their own hinges or cables should source a bare shell instead. No tools or additional hardware are included beyond what is pictured.

Remove the bezel, disconnect the antenna cables and power-button cable from the old lid, then attach the new cover with its pre-fitted hinges; the step often missed is re-routing both wireless antenna cables through the hinge channels before tightening the screws.
The hinges and the wireless antenna cables integrated into the cover are the wear items; expect hinge stiffness or cable fatigue after repeated opening cycles, while the power-button cable typically lasts the life of the chassis.
Hinge torque degradation shows up first, causing the 15.6" panel to drift or fail to hold position before any cable or latch issue arises.
