Genuine Dell Replacement Base

This genuine Dell OEM bottom base carries part number G898D and fits the Dell Studio 1735 and 1737 laptops. It combines a plastic shell with a metal alloy frame to restore the structural chassis of the device. The assembly includes the battery latch and the metal motherboard frame already fitted. Screws and the bottom cover or door are not supplied with this part.

Replaces Cracked or Warped Chassis

The part replaces an original base that has cracked, warped or lost its battery-latch function through age or impact. Swapping the entire base is worth it when the laptop no longer sits flat, the battery will not lock, or the motherboard mounting points have distorted. It restores the factory mounting geometry without needing a donor chassis.

Rigid Frame Holds Alignment Under Load

The integrated metal alloy frame keeps the motherboard mounting points true during daily transport and thermal cycling. The battery latch remains secure through repeated insertions and removals. The plastic shell resists flex when the notebook is rested on uneven surfaces, maintaining port and drive alignment over time.
