Questions about this item

How do I fit the HKP69 hinge cover onto the Dell Studio XPS 1340, and which step is often missed?

Remove the display bezel and keyboard deck to expose the hinge screws; the step often missed is re-routing the Wi-Fi antenna cables through the new cover before tightening the hinge.

What upkeep will the HKP69 hinge cover need on the Studio XPS 1340 over time?

The plastic cover itself requires no scheduled maintenance; if the hinge mechanism later stiffens, apply a light PTFE lubricant to the pivot points rather than replacing the cover.
