5U rack server with Intel E-2388G 8-core CPU, 64GB DDR4, four 2.4TB SAS drives and H755 RAID controller
The Dell T350 is a 5U rack-mount server built around a single Intel E-2388G processor running at 3.2 GHz with eight cores and 16 MB cache. It ships with 64 GB of DDR4 memory in four 16 GB modules operating at 3200 MT/s. The H755 RAID controller manages four 2.4 TB 10K SAS drives. Remote management is handled by iDRAC9 Enterprise. Dual 1 GbE ports provide network connectivity. A 600 W redundant power supply is included.
This system replaces ageing single-socket towers or 1U servers that lack PCIe 4.0 slots and modern remote management. The jump is worth it when workloads need the additional I/O bandwidth of two Gen 4.0 and two Gen 3.0 slots, hardware RAID with the H755, and the TPM 2.0 module for platform integrity. Buyers staying with a single processor and 3.5-inch drive bays will find the transition straightforward.
Eight 3.5-inch drive bays give room to grow beyond the four installed 2.4 TB SAS drives. The four populated DIMM slots leave capacity for additional DDR4 modules up to the platform limit. Two PCIe 4.0 and two PCIe 3.0 slots accommodate extra network, storage or accelerator cards. The dual SD module with a 16 GB card supports hypervisor boot redundancy. Workloads requiring more than one CPU socket or GPU-dense configurations are not addressed by this chassis.
