Dell TS-U633 Ultra Slim DVD Writer

This new Dell TS-U633 drive is an 8X ultra slim internal DVD±RW unit with a 9.5 mm height. It connects through a SATA interface and is built for Dell Latitude E Series laptops. The tray-load mechanism reads and writes CDs and DVDs in a compact form factor.

Latitude E Series Upgrade Fit

The drive suits owners of compatible Latitude E Series models needing a replacement or upgrade optical drive. Buyers with thinner ultrabooks requiring a 7 mm drive cannot use this 9.5 mm unit. Systems without an internal SATA optical bay or those needing Blu-ray playback should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How much power does the TS-U633 draw when running all day?

The drive uses standard SATA power from the notebook, drawing only the current a slim 9.5 mm optical unit requires during read or write operations.

What must my laptop already have for this drive to work?

Your Latitude E-series chassis needs a 9.5 mm SATA optical bay and the matching bezel so the TS-U633 slides in and connects directly to the motherboard.
