27-inch QHD 120 Hz IPS Black monitor

The Dell UltraSharp 27 U2724D is a 27-inch computer monitor with a 2560×1440 QHD resolution and a native 120 Hz refresh rate. It uses IPS Black panel technology with an antiglare 3H hardness coating and delivers 350 cd/m² brightness. The display covers 100% sRGB, BT.709 and 98% Display P3 and DCIP3 with Delta E < 2 colour accuracy across a 1.07 billion colour palette.

Sustained colour-critical work

IPS Black technology provides a 2000:1 contrast ratio and wide 178°/178° viewing angles that remain consistent during extended sessions. The LED Edgelight backlight system keeps power draw and heat low while maintaining stable luminance and colour output over time. ENERGY STAR certification confirms efficient operation under continuous load. The panel supports 1.07 billion colours with factory calibration for reliable accuracy.

Check stand space and video outputs

The included stand offers height, tilt, swivel and pivot adjustment and requires adequate desk depth for full movement. A 100 mm × 100 mm VESA mount is available if you prefer a monitor arm. Connectivity consists of HDMI and DisplayPort inputs; a DisplayPort 1.4 cable is supplied in the box. Verify your graphics card provides the required video outputs for your desired resolution and refresh rate.

Questions about this item

How much heat and power does the 27" 120 Hz IPS Black panel produce during all-day use?

The LED Edgelight backlight keeps power use low and heat minimal while the panel runs at 350 cd/m², and the monitor carries ENERGY STAR certification for efficient operation.

Which cables and ports must my PC already provide to use the 2560×1440 120 Hz signal?

The box includes a DisplayPort 1.4 cable and the monitor offers HDMI and DisplayPort inputs, so your graphics card needs at least one of those outputs.

Will my older GPU that only has HDMI 1.4 drive the 120 Hz QHD mode on this screen?

HDMI 1.4 is limited to 60 Hz at 2560×1440; you would need a DisplayPort 1.2 or newer connection, or an HDMI 2.0 source, to reach the full 120 Hz refresh rate.
