Dell Venue 8 Pro 5855 Bottom Cover

This is a genuine Dell replacement bottom base back cover for the Venue 8 Pro 5855 tablet. It includes the plastic shell with the Dell logo and rear camera window already fitted. The part is supplied new and carries the OEM part number FVVY4 for exact identification. It is intended for owners or repair shops restoring the tablet's original exterior.

Compatibility and Limitations

This cover fits only Venue 8 Pro 5855 models that do not use a SIM card for WWAN broadband service. Buyers whose tablets have a SIM slot for mobile data should look at a different cover because this unit lacks the required cut-out. It is also unsuitable for any other Dell tablet model or for devices needing a full chassis assembly rather than just the back panel.

Critical Specification: Part Number FVVY4

The single detail that decides fitment is the OEM part number FVVY4 printed on the original cover or listed in the service manual. Matching this number confirms the cover is designed for the non-WWAN version of the 5855 tablet. If the existing part shows a different number, this cover will not align with the internal mounting points or the SIM tray opening.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the Dell Venue 8 Pro 5855 bottom cover fits correctly after installation?

The rear camera window should align perfectly with the lens and the Dell logo must sit centred on the back; all screw holes line up with the chassis and the cover snaps shut without gaps.

What comes in the box with the FVVY4 back cover and what else is needed?

Only the OEM plastic bottom base back cover with Dell logo and rear camera window is included; screws, SIM tray or internal components are not supplied and must be reused or sourced separately.

Which version of the Dell Venue 8 Pro 5855 back cover should I choose for my tablet?

Select this FVVY4 cover only if your 5855 model does not use a SIM card for WWAN broadband; the part is incompatible with SIM-equipped variants.
