Replacement Bezel for Vostro 1220

This genuine Dell front cover bezel fits the 12.1 inch Vostro 1220 laptop. It is designed specifically for models that do not have a built-in web camera. The plastic trim restores the original appearance of the display assembly. Part number F294R confirms the correct match for your device.

Simple Snap-On Installation

The bezel attaches to the LCD panel using the factory clips and screw points already present on your laptop. No adhesive or special tools are required for the swap. The most common issue is applying uneven pressure, which can crack the thin plastic tabs. Work slowly around the perimeter until every clip seats firmly.

Verify Camera Absence Before Ordering

This part lacks the cutout for a web camera module. Confirm your Vostro 1220 was manufactured without a camera before purchasing. Check the existing bezel for a lens opening; if one exists, this is not the correct replacement. The Dell part number F294R should also match the label on your original bezel.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the F294R bezel is correctly fitted on my Vostro 1220 after installation?

The front cover should sit flush with the 12.1" LCD panel edges and the plastic trim must show no camera cut-out, matching the F294R design for non-webcam models.

What is included with the F294R bezel and what extra parts might I need for the repair?

The package contains the Dell OEM front cover plastic trim bezel only; hinges, screws, LCD panel, webcam module and cables are not included and must be sourced separately if damaged.

Which bezel version should I choose for a Vostro 1220 without a built-in camera?

Select the F294R part — it is made for the 12.1" Vostro 1220 and specifically lacks the camera window required on non-webcam configurations.
