Genuine Dell Vostro 1520 LCD Bezel

This original Dell front bezel carries part number T746J and fits the 15.4 inch Vostro 1520 chassis. It includes the integrated camera window so the webcam remains functional after installation. Buyers must verify their existing part number before ordering because several bezel variants exist for this model. This item is a cosmetic and structural replacement, not a cooling accessory.

Plastic Trim Durability Under Daily Use

The moulded plastic trim resists flexing during repeated lid open and close cycles. It maintains alignment with the display panel and hinge brackets over extended periods. Surface finish withstands normal handling without chipping or fading. No active cooling or electronic components are present to degrade under load.

Camera Window and Mounting Points

The bezel features a precise cut-out for the webcam module and retains all original screw tabs and latch hooks. Installation reuses existing fasteners and requires no adhesive or modification. Proper fit restores the lid rigidity and protects the LCD edges from dust ingress. Buyers needing a bezel without the camera aperture should source the alternate variant.

Questions about this item

Does the 15.4-inch bezel add any noise or heat when the laptop runs all day?

The bezel is a passive plastic cover with a camera window; it contains no fans or electronics, so it produces no noise or heat during extended use.

What must the buyer already own for the T746J bezel to fit and work?

You need a Dell Vostro 1520 chassis with the matching LCD panel and camera module, plus the correct hinge brackets and screws for a 15.4-inch display assembly.

Will the T746J bezel align with older hinges and camera modules kept from a previous repair?

The part is built to Dell specifications for the Vostro 1520; it matches the original hinge mounts and camera window position, so existing compatible hinges and camera hardware will line up.
