Questions about this item

Which part number fits my Dell laptop — GU915 or CT604?

Both numbers refer to the same genuine Dell OEM hard-drive door cover; either GU915 or CT604 will fit the Vostro 1700, Inspiron 1720 and Inspiron 1721 models listed.

Will this cover restore the original hard-drive bay closure on my Vostro 1700?

Yes, it is the factory HDD door designed for the Vostro 1700, Inspiron 1720 and 1721, so it snaps into the chassis exactly like the original panel.

Does the cover use the standard Dell latch mechanism for the 1720 series?

The door employs the same latch design Dell used on the Inspiron 1720, 1721 and Vostro 1700, securing the drive bay without extra screws or adapters.
