Questions about this item

How do I install the W12Y2 1100 Watt redundant power supply into a PowerEdge R730, and which step is often missed?

Slide the module into the hot-plug bay until the latch clicks, then verify the green AC and DC LEDs are both lit — skipping the LED check is the common oversight.

What maintenance will the W12Y2 1100 Watt redundant power supply need over time?

Clean the intake vents quarterly with compressed air to prevent dust buildup; the internal fan is not user-serviceable, so a full module swap is required if airflow degrades or a fault LED appears.
