Questions about this item

Will the 16X Half Height Sata drive fit in the same bay as my older full-height optical drive?

The half-height form factor is thinner than a standard full-height drive, so it will not occupy the same vertical space without a mounting bracket or adapter.

How can I verify the 16X write speed is active after installing the Sata drive?

Use disc-burning software to select the maximum write speed; the application will display the current speed setting and buffer status during the burn process.
