Genuine Dell Web Camera Module 7JXD1

This genuine Dell OEM web camera module carries part number 7JXD1 and fits Latitude 5320, 5420, 5421, 5430, 5520, 5521 and Precision 3560, 3561 laptops. It restores the factory front-facing camera on those specific models. Buyers needing a replacement for a damaged or missing original unit will find the correct match here.

Direct replacement for sustained daily use

The module is built to Dell’s original specifications, so it maintains consistent video quality over long meetings and repeated open-close cycles. No driver changes are required beyond the standard Dell camera software already present on the supported systems. It behaves exactly as the factory-installed camera did when the laptop was new.

Verify exact model before ordering

Check the service tag or bottom-case sticker to confirm your laptop is one of the listed Latitude or Precision models. The connector and mounting points differ between chassis generations, so this module will not fit other Dell series or third-party laptops. Ensure the existing camera cable is intact and the bezel can be removed without damage.

Questions about this item

How much power does the 7JXD1 web camera module draw during all-day use?

The module is powered directly by the laptop's internal USB connection and draws only the standard USB webcam current, adding negligible load to the system battery.

What must my laptop already have for the 7JXD1 camera module to install and function?

Your laptop must be a compatible Latitude 5320, 5420, 5421, 5430, 5520, 5521 or Precision 3560, 3561 with the matching display bezel and internal camera cable connector.

Will the 7JXD1 camera module work if I keep my existing display panel and bezel from an older Latitude model?

The module is designed for the specific display assemblies of the listed Latitude and Precision models; it requires the correct bezel cut-out and cable routing used in those chassis.
