Questions about this item

Will the Mini-PCI Express slot or antenna cables need replacement after long-term use?

The card uses a Mini-PCI Express interface; the slot is part of the laptop motherboard and antenna cables are built into the chassis, so neither is replaced separately.

What limits throughput during continuous HSPA sessions on the DW5530?

The HSPA radio and the Mini-PCI Express bus set the practical ceiling; sustained data rates will not exceed the card's built-in HSPA capability.

How much heat or extra power draw should I expect when the WWAN card runs all day?

The module draws modest power from the Mini-PCI Express slot and produces low heat typical of HSPA WWAN cards; no active cooling is required.
