DELL X80XC 10Gigabit Ethernet Card 4-port

SKU CH-6EJ8-CH6DW

Adds four 10GBase-T RJ-45 ports via a PCI Express plug-in card for servers

  • Four 10GBase-T ports deliver high-speed server connectivity
  • PCI Express host interface fits standard server expansion slots
  • Twisted-pair media support uses existing copper cabling
  • Plug-in card form factor enables quick internal installation
  • Designed for server environments to handle demanding network workloads

Dell X80XC 10GbE Server Adapter

This Dell X80XC adapter adds four 10GBase-T ports through a single PCI Express slot. It is designed for servers that need high-speed copper connectivity using standard twisted-pair cabling. The plug-in card form factor fits compatible server chassis without requiring fibre infrastructure.

Suited for 10GBase-T server uplinks

IT teams upgrading rack-mounted servers to 10 Gbps over existing Cat6a or Cat7 runs will find this card matches their cabling plant. Builders who need fibre interfaces, fewer than four ports, or a different host bus should evaluate alternative adapters that match those specific requirements.

Four-port 10GBase-T RJ-45 density

The deciding specification is the combination of four RJ-45 ports operating at 10GBase-T on one PCI Express card. Confirm the server has an available slot and the switch ports support 10GBase-T before purchase.

Questions about this item

Will the four 10GBase-T ports saturate the PCI Express host interface under sustained load?

The card uses a PCI Express host interface with four 10GBase-T ports; sustained throughput depends on the slot generation and width in your server

How much heat and noise does the card produce when running all day in a server?

The plug-in card has no integrated fan; thermal output and noise depend entirely on the server chassis airflow and ambient temperature

What cabling and switch ports are required to use all four RJ-45 connectors?

Each port uses twisted-pair cabling for 10GBase-T; you need Category 6a or better patch cords and a switch with four 10GBase-T ports
