A stacking module providing two Dell N2000/N3000/S3000 ports for the N3132PX-ON switch
The Dell X8NNP is a rack-mount stacking module built for the N3132PX-ON switch. It adds two dedicated stacking ports that link compatible N2000, N3000 and S3000 series switches into a single logical unit. Network administrators who need unified management of multiple switches use this module to simplify configuration and monitoring across the stack.
The module provides two stacking ports that enable high-bandwidth inter-switch links without consuming front-panel data ports. This preserves all standard Ethernet ports for server or uplink connections while the stacking fabric handles control-plane traffic and data forwarding between stack members. The ports are not hot-swappable so the switch must be powered down before installing or removing the module.
Verify that the target switch is a Dell N3132PX-ON (CAT-27163) before ordering; the module will not function in other chassis. Plan a maintenance window because installation requires a full power cycle of the switch. Ensure spare rack space and cabling are available for the additional stacking links between stack members.

The module is not hot-swappable, so any port failure requires powering down the switch and replacing the entire X8NNP unit.
Each X8NNP provides two stacking ports for N2000, N3000 and S3000 series links, so the port count on the module itself sets the physical stacking limit.
The X8NNP has no active cooling of its own; it draws minimal power and relies on the host switch airflow, adding negligible heat or noise.
