Questions about this item

Will the 14-inch XPS L401X bottom cover align with the existing screw holes and battery latch slots?

The assembly is built to the original Dell specifications for the XPS 14 L401X, so the mounting points and latch cut-outs match the chassis exactly.

Does the included battery latch assembly click into place before the cover screws are tightened?

Yes, seat the latch assembly in its recess first, then lower the cover and secure the screws; reversing the order can leave the latch misaligned.

Which parts of the 0D5W8 assembly are most likely to wear out after repeated battery swaps?

The plastic latch hooks and the screw bosses on the base cover take the most stress during frequent battery changes.
