Dell XPS 15 7590 overview

The Dell XPS 15 7590 is a 15.6-inch laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-9750H processor running at 2.60 GHz. It comes with 16 GB of memory and a 256 GB SSD. The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 handles graphics on a 3840 x 2160 non-touch display. Windows 10 Home is installed.

Upgrade from older ultraportables

This model replaces thinner ultraportables that rely on integrated graphics and smaller SSD capacities. The six-core processor and discrete GTX 1650 make the jump worthwhile when you need faster video export, light 3D work or smoother multitasking on a high-resolution screen. The 16 GB memory ceiling supports heavier workloads than 8 GB configurations.

Suits mobile creators and analysts

The colour-accurate 3840 x 2160 panel and discrete GPU suit photographers, video editors and data analysts who work away from a desk. Buyers who want more storage for large media libraries or a higher-wattage GPU for serious rendering should look at larger workstation-class machines.

How is the battery replaced on the XPS 15 7590?

Remove the bottom cover, disconnect the battery cable, unscrew the battery, fit the new unit, reconnect, and refit the cover.

When will the 16 GB RAM need upgrading?
