Core i7 14-core laptop with RTX 3050

The Dell XPS 9720 is a 17-inch Windows 11 Pro laptop powered by a 12th-generation Intel Core i7-12700H processor with 14 cores and a 4.7 GHz turbo frequency. It includes 24 GB of memory and a 960 GB solid-state drive. A dedicated Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 GPU with 4 GB GDDR6 handles graphics workloads on the 1920 x 1200 FHD+ non-touch display.

Suited to mobile workstations.

This configuration suits professionals who need a large 17.0-inch screen, multi-core CPU performance and dedicated graphics in a single chassis. Buyers who require touchscreen input, a higher refresh-rate panel for competitive gaming, or more than 960 GB of internal storage should consider other models.

RTX 3050 with 4 GB GDDR6 drives GPU-dependent tasks

The discrete GeForce RTX 3050 laptop GPU provides 4 GB of GDDR6 video memory, which is the specification that determines whether the system can accelerate creative applications and modern games at 1080p. Integrated graphics alone would not deliver this level of performance.

Questions about this item

Does the laptop come with a charger and stylus, or must I buy them separately?

The unit ships with the laptop, power adapter and documentation; no stylus is included because the 17 inch 1920 x 1200 non‑touch panel does not support pen input.

Should I choose the 960 GB SSD or a larger drive for video editing?

The 960 GB solid‑state drive is the only capacity offered on this XPS 9720; if you need more space you can add an external drive later.

How does the RTX 3050 4 GB GDDR6 perform in a 17 inch chassis with the i7‑12700H?

The dedicated RTX 3050 with 4 GB GDDR6 works alongside the 14‑core i7‑12700H at up to 4.7 GHz, giving solid 1080p creative and light gaming performance in the 17 inch form factor.
