17-inch 3840x2400 UHD touchscreen

The Dell XPS 9730 is a 17-inch laptop with a 3840 by 2400 resolution UHD touchscreen. It runs on an Intel Core i7 13th Gen processor with 14 cores reaching 5 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 64GB of memory and a 2304GB SSD. A dedicated GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU with 8GB GDDR6X graphics memory handles visuals. Windows 11 Pro comes preinstalled.

Creative professionals needing colour-accurate 4K

This configuration suits creators who need a large 4K touch display, 64GB of memory and dedicated RTX 4070 graphics for rendering or video work. The 14-core processor and fast SSD support heavy multitasking. Buyers who want more internal storage than the single 2304GB SSD provides should look elsewhere. Users requiring a non-touch display option or a smaller chassis will not find those here.

64GB soldered memory capacity

The laptop ships with 64GB of memory installed. This capacity is fixed and cannot be upgraded after purchase. Verify that 64GB meets your workload requirements before ordering.

Questions about this item

Will the XPS 9730’s 17.0" 3840 x 2400 touch display run at its native resolution when I connect my older 1080p external monitor?

Yes, the built-in panel keeps its 3840 x 2400 resolution while the external monitor runs at 1080p; each screen is driven independently by the RTX 4070 GPU.

How can I confirm the RTX 4070 with 8 GB GDDR6X is active after I finish Windows 11 Pro setup?

Open Device Manager, expand Display adapters and verify NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 appears; then run the NVIDIA control panel to see the 8 GB GDDR6X memory reported.

Does the box include a stylus for the 17" touch screen or must I buy one separately?

The supplier description lists only the laptop, integrated webcam and pre-installed Windows 11 Pro; no stylus is mentioned, so plan to purchase one separately if you need pen input.
