17-inch 3840x2400 touchscreen laptop

The Dell XPS 9730 is a 17.0-inch UHD touchscreen laptop powered by a 14-core Intel Core i7-13700H processor with a 5 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 48GB of memory and a 4000GB SSD running Windows 11 Home. A dedicated GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card with 8GB GDDR6X memory handles visual workloads.

Suited for colour-critical creative work

The 3840x2400 resolution and touch input benefit photographers, video editors and designers who need precise on-screen control. Buyers who want more storage than the 2304GB solid-state drive provides should look at other configurations. The 802.11ac wireless standard may not satisfy users needing the latest Wi-Fi speeds.

RTX 4070 with 8GB GDDR6X graphics memory

The dedicated GeForce RTX 4070 laptop GPU includes 8GB of GDDR6X video memory. This specification determines whether the system can handle your target rendering, encoding or gaming workloads. Confirm the graphics memory capacity matches your software requirements before purchase.

Questions about this item

Can the 48 GB of memory be upgraded later?

The 48 GB is soldered to the motherboard and cannot be increased after purchase.

What limits the Core i7-13700H during long heavy workloads?

The 14-core processor will hit its thermal ceiling first, causing clock speeds to drop below the 5 GHz turbo.

How loud and hot does the RTX 4070 get when the laptop runs all day?

Under sustained load the cooling fans spin up audibly and the chassis becomes warm to the touch as the 8 GB GDDR6X GPU and 14-core CPU share the thermal solution.
