Magnetic Door Holder 3 Inch

The Deltana Enterprises magnetic door holder secures doors in an open position using a strong internal magnet. Constructed from solid brass, it resists corrosion and suits interior or exterior residential openings. A black painted finish provides a discreet appearance that blends with dark hardware. Installation requires surface mounting on the door and adjacent wall or floor.

Thermals Noise and Power

This hardware operates without electricity, so it draws zero power and produces no heat or audible noise during use. The magnetic catch engages silently when the door contacts the strike plate. No moving mechanical parts generate friction or wear under normal conditions. Performance remains consistent across typical indoor and outdoor temperature ranges.

Questions about this item

How is the 3 in. solid brass magnetic door holder in paint black installed, and what step is often missed?

Mount the strike plate on the door and the magnetic base on the wall or floor so they align when the door is fully open; the step often missed is verifying exact alignment before drilling, otherwise the magnet will not catch reliably.

What maintenance or replacement will the 3 in. solid brass magnetic door holder in paint black need later?

Periodically clean the magnetic face and strike plate to remove dust or metal filings that weaken the hold, and check the mounting screws for loosening caused by repeated door movement.
