Replaces Worn Plastic or Aluminium Slots

Upgrade when an existing slot has cracked, faded or no longer closes flush against the door. The brass body and matching interior frame deliver a tighter seal and longer service life than lighter materials. Buyers needing a larger aperture, a through-wall sleeve or a locking mechanism should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

What cut-out size does the 8.88 in. brass mail slot require?

Cut the opening to 8.88 in. long by 2.88 in. wide so the outer frame sits flush and the inner frame can be secured from the inside.

How do you attach the interior frame, and what step is often missed?

Fasten the interior frame through its pre-drilled holes after the outer sleeve is seated; the step people skip is aligning both frames before tightening so the slot operates smoothly.
