Solid brass storm door latch

The Deltana Enterprises SDL688CR003 is a classic mortise lock built for storm doors. Its solid brass construction and lifetime brass finish suit homeowners who want durable hardware that matches traditional trim. Installation fits standard mortise preparations on wood or metal doors. The latch operates with a simple thumb-turn and key cylinder.

Mortise lock limits

A mortise pocket must already exist or be cut into the door stile, so surface-mount doors cannot use this latch without modification. The mechanism is single-point only, so buyers who want multi-point locking or electronic access will need a different system. Handing is not reversible in the field, so the correct orientation must be chosen at purchase. The finish resists tarnish but still requires occasional cleaning to maintain appearance.
