Desco 09184 Adjustable Wristband

The Desco 09184 provides a magnetic snap wrist strap with an adjustable elastic band for a secure fit during electronic assembly or repair work. It includes a six foot coiled ground cord that connects the wearer to a grounding point. This tool is intended for technicians who require a reliable personal grounding solution while handling static-sensitive components.

Six foot coiled cord limits mobility radius

The coiled ground cord extends to six feet, which defines the maximum working distance from the grounding connection. Users who need to move further away from the bench or grounding point will find the cord length restrictive. The fixed length cannot be extended or replaced with a longer lead without changing the strap assembly. Buyers who need a longer reach should consider a different grounding system.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 6 ft cord version or a shorter one?

The 6 ft coiled cord gives enough reach for most bench setups while keeping excess cable off the work surface.

What does the 6 ft cord length mean when I am wearing the strap at my station?

You can move freely around a typical workbench without pulling the ground connection loose.
