Motion Detection Range

The DESIGNERS EDGE L6006WH is a wall-mounted floodlight kit designed for outdoor security lighting. It provides a 180-degree motion detection zone reaching up to 70 feet. The unit operates on standard 120V AC household current and carries cETL safety certification. It suits homeowners needing broad coverage for driveways, yards or entryways.

Included Halogen Lamp

A 120-watt halogen lamp is supplied with the fixture so the light is ready to operate immediately after wiring. The front-flange socket secures the lamp firmly in the die-cast housing. No separate bulb purchase is required, reducing installation time and ensuring the correct wattage is used from the start.

Mounting And Wiring Check

Verify that a suitable wall surface exists for the 9-1/2-inch by 6-inch surface-mount base and that a 120V AC circuit is accessible at that location. The white die-cast housing is intended for exterior wall installation only. Confirm local codes permit halogen fixtures before ordering.

Questions about this item

How often will the 120 W halogen lamp need replacing?

The 120 W halogen lamp is included and rated for typical halogen life; expect replacement when output dims or the lamp fails.

What limits continuous operation of the 180° motion sensor?

The sensor covers 180° and detects motion out to 70 ft; sustained heat from the 120 W lamp may reduce detection range over long periods.

How much heat does the fixture produce when running all day?

The 120 W halogen lamp generates significant heat; the die-cast housing dissipates it, but the fixture becomes hot to the touch during extended use.
