Tool-only pruning shears for DeWalt 20V Max

These cordless electric shears run on the DeWalt 20V Max battery platform and are sold without a battery or charger. A brushless motor drives a Swiss SK5 carbon-steel bypass blade with non-stick coating for low-friction cuts on live wood. The ambidextrous silicone handle and 1.4 inch maximum cut capacity suit gardeners, landscapers and orchard workers who already own DeWalt 20V packs. An integrated LED illuminates the branch in low light.

Dual-mode cut capacity 25 mm and 35 mm

A trigger-activated selector switches between Level 1 at 25 mm and Level 2 at 35 mm so the blade opening matches the branch diameter. This single adjustment decides whether the tool can handle the growth you face; thicker limbs exceed the 35 mm limit and require a lopper or saw. The auto power-off engages after two minutes of inactivity to preserve battery charge.

Twelve-unit pack for crew deployment

The 12-piece pack equips a maintenance team or multiple garden beds with identical tools, each weighing 2.48 pounds and measuring 13.3 by 6.42 by 4.02 inches. The flat-edge bypass blade cleanly severs green stems up to the rated 1.4 inch diameter but cannot cut deadwood, metal or diameters beyond 35 mm. Buyers needing larger capacity or a bundled battery must look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

What does the 1.4 inch cutting capacity mean when I am actually pruning?

The shears can cleanly sever live branches up to 1.4 inches (35 mm) thick in a single squeeze, so you tackle medium limbs without switching to a handsaw.

How does the DeWalt 20V Max battery interface limit run-time or power delivery?

The tool draws current directly from any 20V Max pack; run-time scales with the amp-hour rating of the battery you supply, and the brushless motor maintains torque until the pack cuts off.

What physical space do I need to store or mount the 12-pack case?

The shipping carton measures 13.3 x 6.42 x 4.02 inches and weighs 2.48 lb, fitting on a standard pegboard hook or shelf bracket.
