Scale and purpose

This 1/50 scale diecast replica of the Western Star 4700 SB Tandem Day Cab Tractor is built for adult collectors and hobby enthusiasts who value officially licensed, true-to-scale detail. The model arrives in a premium slide-box package printed with full-colour graphics and specifications of the real vehicle. It is a display piece rather than a toy for active play.

Build quality and daily handling

Heavy diecast metal construction gives the model a substantial feel, while real rubber tires with accurate tread and rim detail add realism. The hood opens to reveal a detailed engine compartment, and the steerable wheels roll authentically. Detailed interior, exterior and authentic logo treatments complete the presentation, all protected by the manufacturer's original unopened packaging.

Deciding specification

The 1/50 scale fixes the model at approximately 6.375 inches long, 2.5 inches wide and 3 inches high, determining how it fits alongside other items in a collection. Buyers who need a different scale or a larger footprint for diorama work will find this size does not match those requirements.

Questions about this item

What scale is the Western Star 4700 model, and how does that affect its size?

The model is built to 1/50 scale, measuring approximately 6.375 inches long, 2.5 inches wide and 3 inches high.

What clearance does the model need for its steerable wheels and opening hood to operate?

Allow enough space around the 2.5-inch width for the front wheels to turn freely and extra lengthwise room for the hood to open fully.

How is the model secured in its Transport Series slide-box, and what step avoids damage when removing it?

The model sits in a fitted tray inside the premium slide-box; slide the sleeve off gently rather than lifting the model vertically to prevent stress on the steerable wheels and mirrors.
