Magnetic Hooks 85lbs Silver 6 Pack

Six neodymium magnetic hooks rated at 85lbs holding force each. Designed for home, garage, office, cruise ship or any ferrous metal surface. No drilling, adhesive or fasteners required. Reusable and repositionable for temporary or permanent organisation.

85lbs pull force per hook

Each hook uses a rare-earth neodymium magnet with a triple nickel-copper-nickel coating to resist rust and corrosion. The rated vertical pull force is 85lbs on clean, flat, thick steel; actual hold varies with surface thickness, paint, angle and temperature. Only ferromagnetic materials such as iron or steel provide attraction.

Simple placement on metal surfaces

Position the hook on a suitable steel or iron surface and it locks magnetically; slide or lever off to move. Ensure the mounting area is clean, flat and thick enough for full magnetic contact. Keep away from pacemakers, electronic medical devices and small children.

Questions about this item

How much weight will the 85lbs rating actually hold on a vertical steel surface?

The 85lbs pull force is measured perpendicular to a thick, clean steel plate; on a vertical wall the practical shear capacity is lower, so allow a safety margin for heavy items.

What coating protects the neodymium magnet from corrosion?

Each hook uses a triple nickel-copper-nickel plating that resists rust and corrosion for long-term indoor or outdoor use.

What thickness of steel is needed for the magnet to grip securely?

A ferromagnetic surface at least a few millimetres thick — such as a fridge, beam or locker — provides full holding power; thin sheet metal reduces the force.
