DJI Osmo Action 6 8K action camera

The DJI Osmo Action 6 is an 8K action camera built around a 1/1.1-inch square CMOS sensor and a variable aperture that shifts from f/2.0 to f/4.0. It records 7680x4320 video at up to 30 fps and captures 38-megapixel stills. The body is waterproof to 20 metres without a case and reaches 60 metres with the optional Waterproof Case. A 240-minute battery supports extended sessions in temperatures down to -20 °C.

Creators needing variable aperture

This camera suits creators who want manual depth-of-field control via the f/2.0-f/4.0 aperture and high-resolution 8K 16:9 footage. The 50 GB of usable internal storage lets you shoot without a card, while Wi-Fi 6 enables fast offload. Buyers who need optical zoom, raw photo output, or a larger sensor format should look at other systems.

Variable aperture f/2.0-f/4.0 on a 1/1.1-inch sensor

The defining specification is the variable aperture paired with the 1/1.1-inch square CMOS sensor. It lets you open to f/2.0 for low-light gathering and shallow depth of field, or stop down to f/4.0 for greater depth of field in bright conditions. This single optical feature determines whether the camera matches your creative exposure requirements.
