3 kg payload gimbal for mirrorless creators

The DJI RS 4 supports a 3 kg payload with an extended tilt axis that adds 8.5 mm of balancing room for mainstream mirrorless camera and lens combinations. A 2nd-generation native vertical shooting plate lets you switch to vertical orientation without extra accessories. The gimbal weighs 1066 g while the BG21 grip adds 203 g and the plastic Extended Grip/Tripod adds 183 g.

Teflon-coated axes and 12-hour runtime

Teflon coating on all three axes reduces friction for ultra-precise balancing during sustained operation. The included BG21 battery grip delivers up to 12 hours of runtime on a single charge. An optional BG70 high-capacity grip can extend that figure to 29.5 hours and supplies up to 18 watts to a camera or accessories through its USB-C port.

RSA and NATO ports for modular rigging

An RSA communication port and NATO ports accept Ronin-series accessories plus third-party control handles and remote rings. The gimbal also provides a 1/4"-20 mounting hole, a cold shoe, and USB-C ports for video transmission, camera control, and focus motor connection. Folded dimensions are 245×255×75 mm; unfolded dimensions are 370×191×189 mm.
