Questions about this item

How do I install the DK02A on a standard door and which step do people often miss?

Remove the old hardware, fit the supplied latch and strike plate, then mount the 6.9 x 4.9 x 3.3 in lock body with a screwdriver; many forget to insert the four AA batteries before testing the keypad.

What maintenance will the fingerprint lock need over time?

Replace the four AA batteries when the low-power indicator sounds; the sensor surface should be wiped clean occasionally to keep the 0.3 s recognition speed reliable.

What is the first limit I will hit during heavy daily use of the DK02A?

The mechanical cycle rating is 100,000 operations, so the latch mechanism will reach its rated life before the fingerprint sensor or keypad wear out.
