Media Kit for DS-RX1HS Printer

This aftermarket media kit supplies two rolls of 5 x 7 inch paper with matching ribbon for the DNP DS-RX1HS photo printer. Each roll yields 400 prints, giving 800 total images per box. It is aimed at event photographers and studios that need a ready supply of consumables for high-volume sessions. The paper measures 12.7 by 17.8 centimetres and is packed for immediate loading.

Thermals Noise and Power Draw

The media itself generates no heat, noise or electrical load during printing. All power consumption and acoustic output come from the DS-RX1HS printer mechanism, which operates at its normal rated levels when feeding these rolls. No additional cooling or power capacity is required beyond what the printer already demands. Stored rolls remain stable at typical indoor conditions.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 5 x 7" media rolls in the DS-RX1HS printer, and what step is often missed?

Open the printer cover, load the paper roll with the glossy side facing up, then insert the matching ribbon cartridge; the step often missed is seating the ribbon leader fully into the take-up spool so the first 400 prints feed correctly.

What consumables will need replacing after the 800 total prints are used?

Both the 5 x 7" paper rolls and the ink ribbon cartridges are consumed together; once the 800 prints are reached you must replace the entire media set with a new 2-roll, 800-print kit.
