Media for DS620A dye-sub printer

This dye-sub media pack is built for the DS620A printer and suits professional photographers or event operators who need consistent 6 x 8 inch output. It contains two rolls sized at 15.24 by 20.32 centimetres. Each roll is rated for 200 prints, giving 400 prints per pack.

Thermals noise and power in normal use

The media itself has no moving parts, fans or electrical draw, so it adds no heat or noise to the printing environment. Normal operation depends entirely on the DS620A printer's own thermal and acoustic profile. Storage at room temperature keeps the rolls ready for immediate use.

Behaviour under sustained load

Each roll supports a continuous run of 200 prints before a change is required, and the two-roll pack delivers 400 prints in total. This capacity lets the printer handle extended sessions such as event photography or batch processing without frequent media swaps. Consistent coating quality helps maintain colour density across the full length of each roll.

Questions about this item

How do I load the 6x8" dye-sub roll into the DS620A printer correctly?

Open the printer cover, place the roll so the paper feeds from the bottom, thread it under the platen roller, close the cover and let the printer auto-advance to the first print position.

When will I need to replace the media roll?

Each roll yields 200 prints; the pack contains two rolls for 400 total prints, so replace the roll after every 200 prints.

What limits continuous printing before the printer pauses?

The DS620A pauses for cooling after extended high-volume output; allow it to cool before resuming.
