Three-slot USB 3.0 and USB-C card reader
The Dockteck DR0003 reads SD, microSD and USB-A devices through a single compact adapter. It suits photographers, videographers and field technicians who move files between cameras, drones, laptops and phones. Protective covers on both ends keep dust and moisture out during transport. No driver installation is required on supported hosts.
USB 3.0 limits real-world throughput to 5 Gbps
Each card slot reaches up to 104 MB/s, well below the bus ceiling, so simultaneous reads will share bandwidth. The USB 2.0 fallback caps transfers at 480 Mbps when connected to older ports. OTG support lets mobile devices act as hosts, but the host must supply enough current for the attached cards and any USB-A peripheral.
Dual USB-A and USB-C connectors decide host
The tethered cable ends in both a USB-A plug and a USB-C plug, so the reader works with legacy PCs, consoles, modern laptops, tablets and recent phones that have a USB-C port. Buyers whose devices only offer Lightning, micro-USB or proprietary connectors cannot use this adapter.

Questions about this item
Should I pick the USB-A or USB-C connector on this DR0003 reader?
The reader includes both USB-A and USB-C plugs so you can use it with PCs, TVs, consoles, MacBooks, tablets and iPhone 15 without choosing one version.
What does the 5 Gbps USB 3.0 rating mean when I copy files?
It lets the SD and microSD slots each reach up to 104 MB/s, so a 1 GB transfer finishes in seconds instead of the slower USB 2.0 rate.
Which USB standard caps the speed on the built-in USB-A port?
The USB-A port runs at USB 3.0 (5 Gbps), so any mouse, keyboard or drive plugged into it is limited to that bandwidth.
