14-inch Acrylic Keyboard Cover

This transparent acrylic cover protects the keyboard of 14-inch laptops from dust, liquid spills and pet interference. It rests over the keys when the device is not in use, keeping the key gaps clean and preventing accidental input. The clear material lets you see the keyboard layout underneath. It suits home and office environments where drinks or cats are nearby.

Behaviour under sustained load

The rigid acrylic panel maintains its shape during continuous use as a dust shield or splash barrier. Water-resistant properties prevent moisture from reaching the keys during extended periods. Rounded corner cut-outs avoid pressure points on the laptop chassis when the cover stays in place for hours. The cover also functions as a stable riser, holding the laptop at a raised angle for long typing sessions.

Installation and common issues

Simply lay the cover over the keyboard; no tools, adhesives or clips are required. The 13.8 by 9.8 inch footprint must match the laptop's deck dimensions, otherwise edges may overhang or leave gaps. Thickness of .6 inch adds height, so the lid may not close fully with the cover in place. Cats can still slide the panel if it is not centred.

Questions about this item

Does the acrylic cover get hot or make noise when left on the laptop all day?

The solid acrylic sheet has no fans or electronics, so it produces no heat or noise while covering the keyboard.

What must I already own for this cover to fit and work?

A 14-inch laptop with a keyboard area no larger than 13.8 by 9.8 inches and a flat deck so the .6-inch thick cover sits securely.

Will the cover still sit properly if my older laptop has a thicker chassis or raised hinge?

The cover rests on the deck with .6-inch clearance; a thicker base or rear hinge may prevent it from lying flat.
