What this speaker is and who it suits

The dotn M17B is a compact portable Bluetooth speaker built for outdoor use, home listening, beach trips and parties. It delivers 20 W total output through a 2.0 stereo configuration with DSP-enhanced bass and three selectable EQ modes. The IPX7 rating means it survives immersion in water, and the shockproof housing handles rough handling. Battery life reaches 20 hours at 50 % volume.

The spec that decides fit

Bluetooth 5.4 provides a stable wireless link up to 98 feet and supports True Wireless Stereo pairing so two units play in sync for wider sound. A TF card slot and AUX input give wired alternatives when Bluetooth is not preferred. The built-in microphone enables hands-free calls. Hi-Res Audio decoding and a 16 KHz response bandwidth cover the essential frequency range for music and podcasts.

Install ease and common pitfalls

Pairing is a single press on the speaker after enabling Bluetooth on the source device; the Type-C cable charges the battery in a few hours. The multi-colour LED loop can be toggled off to extend playtime. TWS pairing requires both speakers to be in pairing mode simultaneously — if only one connects, restart both units. The speaker floats, but the IPX7 seal depends on the port cover being fully closed.

Questions about this item

How loud does the 20 W output get in a typical room?

The 20 W rating drives a 2.0 stereo configuration with DSP tuning, delivering 360° stereo sound that fills a medium room without distortion at maximum volume.

What does Bluetooth 5.4 actually limit in daily use?

Bluetooth 5.4 provides stable pairing up to 98 feet and supports TWS pairing for a second speaker, but audio quality still depends on the source codec and signal conditions.

Will the 5.0 in cube dimensions fit in a standard cup holder?

The speaker measures 5.0 in on each side, so it is too wide for most car cup holders; it is designed for flat surfaces or bag carry instead.
