Route and Gameplay

This downloadable add-on expands Train Simulator 2016 with the North Jersey Coast Line, a New Jersey Transit route stretching more than 70 route miles from Penn Station and Hoboken Terminal to Bay Head. It includes seven career scenarios and four railfan-mode scenarios that let players operate commuter services over Amtrak's electrified Northeast Corridor and the former New York & Long Branch line.

Who This Suits

Simulator enthusiasts who already own the base game on Steam and want a detailed North American commuter-rail experience will find this route a natural fit. Players without Train Simulator 2016 on Steam cannot use the add-on, and the product is blocked in numerous countries including Russia, China and Venezuela, so buyers in those regions should look at something else.

DRM and Base-Game Requirement

The single specification that decides compatibility is the Steam DRM and the mandatory ownership of Train Simulator 2016 on the same platform. Without that base title in your Steam library the downloadable code will not activate or run.
