Multi-Pack Melamine Sponges

This pack supplies ten white melamine-foam erasers measuring 100 by 60 by 20 millimetres each. They arrive new and ready for household cleaning tasks that need a gentle abrasive action without added chemicals. The low-density foam can be trimmed to custom shapes for tight corners or detailed surfaces. Total pack weight is 0.04 kilograms.

Usage Limits and Precautions

The sponges work with water alone; warm water improves stain release but is not required. They must not be used on glossy, polished or coated surfaces such as automotive paint, screen glass or polished metal because the micro-abrasive structure will leave permanent micro-scratches. Heavy pressure should also be avoided to prevent surface damage and premature foam wear. Gloves are recommended during prolonged use.

Deciding Specification — Abrasive Melamine Foam

The single factor that determines suitability is the melamine-foam composition, which cleans by microscopic abrasion rather than chemical action. Buyers who need a non-abrasive wipe for delicate optics, anti-reflective coatings or polished acrylic should choose a different product. For general hard-surface stain removal on sinks, tiles, appliances and bathroom fixtures, the foam composition matches the requirement.

Questions about this item

Should I buy the 10-piece pack or look for a different quantity?

This listing only offers the 10-piece pack with each sponge measuring 100x60x20mm, so there is no alternative quantity to choose from here.

What does the 100x60x20mm size mean when I'm actually cleaning?

Each sponge is about the size of a large eraser, giving enough surface for sinks and range hoods while still fitting into tight corners around taps.

How does the melamine foam work without detergent?

The open-cell melamine structure acts like ultra-fine sandpaper when damp, lifting dust and stains mechanically instead of chemically.
