Core hardware

The Dream Machines RX5080-16NA27 pairs an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX with a GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU running at 175 W TGP. Twenty-four cores reach a 5.4 GHz turbo frequency, backed by 36 MB of L3 cache. Sixteen gigabytes of video memory and 32 GB of DDR5 5600 MHz system memory complete the high-performance foundation.

Best fit and limits

The 16.0 inch 300 Hz mini-LED panel covers 100 % DCI-P3 and supports HDR 1000 for colour-critical gaming and content work. Users needing more than 64 GB of RAM or a touchscreen should consider other models. The external Dream Waterfall liquid cooler adds bulk, so purely mobile users may prefer a conventional air-cooled design.

Deciding specification

The 175 W GPU power target determines sustained frame rates in demanding titles. The magnetic quick-connect loop cuts CPU and GPU temperatures by up to 15 °C, removing thermal throttling during extended sessions. If that cooling headroom matches your workload, the configuration is well suited.

Questions about this item

What external cooling hardware does the laptop rely on for its 175W TGP GPU?

The system ships with the Dream Waterfall external liquid cooling box that integrates radiator, pump, fan and reservoir; magnetic self-sealing connectors attach in seconds and the unit cuts CPU and GPU temperatures by up to 15°C.

Will the 300 Hz 16.0" mini-LED panel run at full refresh when I keep my older 60 Hz external monitor connected?

Yes, the internal 2560×1600 300 Hz mini-LED display and any external display operate independently; each panel runs at its own native refresh rate without forcing the laptop screen down to 60 Hz.

How can I verify the 175W TGP RTX 5080 is sustaining its full power after I plug in the Waterfall box?

Open the NVIDIA control panel or GPU-Z while gaming and confirm the GPU power draw reads 175W and core clocks hold at their rated boost without throttling; the Waterfall box should keep temperatures roughly 15°C lower than on air alone.
